Lakeview Parkway, Orono

One of the great beauties of architecture is that each time, it is like life starting all over again.
YEAR 2018

Architecture is really about well-being. I think that people want to feel good in a space… On the one hand it’s about shelter, but it’s also about pleasure.

Zaha Hadid

This project allowed creativity and collaboration as we worked to create multiple places to commune within the same space, while also looking to provide seamless transitions between the areas for both the people, the overall aesthetic, and how the backyard works together. Ecologically.

01 Conceptual Design

Waterfalls and ponds are a favorite element for us to incorporate into your home and we loved creating a path of water throughout the property, expertly trickling under a Mahogany stone bridge and alongside the cut boulder steps.

Porcelain patios are featured in multiple places on this property, paired perfectly with cedar accents throughout: custom cedar pergola, raised cedar beds, and cedar arbor. Note the natural stone, wood burning fire pit near the pond, with its subtle Lannon stone block and Indiana Limestone cap.

02 Developement

Around the side of the property is a large glacial boulder outcropping wall with many native trees and plantings. The front porch and steps were overlaid with wood grain porcelain pavers and a paver sidewalk.

Tracer poured and stamped a dark gray concrete driveway with a roman slate stamp. This project required extensive plantings, river rock and mulch, all plants now have a drip irrigation system to create an easier experience for the owners and more consistent care for the greenery. Finally, Tracer employs high-level lighting techniques for creating and installing outdoor lighting and accent lighting throughout this masterpiece.
